I am a Reader in Optimisation in the School of Mathematical Sciences and Deputy Head of the Centre for Combinatorics, Algebra and Number Theory at Queen Mary University of London.

I am interested in the design and analysis of systems where strategic behaviour of individuals leads to good outcomes for the system as a whole, and in fundamental problems in algorithms, mathematics of operations research, and applied probability.

I am involved in the organisation of the 2026 Colloquia in Combinatorics.

I was named after a cartoon cat.
