This is the home page for a course of 12 lectures to first and second year Cambridge mathematics students.

The main reference is a set of lecture notes prepared for the course. Various parts are also covered by standard textbooks, some of which can be accessed free of charge. Lecture notes for earlier editions of the course, and some additional materials, are available from the pages of Professor Weber, Dr Tehranchi, and Dr Kennedy.
