I am a Reader in Mathematics
at the
School of Mathematical Sciences
at
QMUL.
Short CV
I was born and educated in Germany. After
studying
Mathematics and Physics at the University of Munich, I came to the UK
to
do an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Cambridge.
Subsequently I
held various positions in Glasgow and Nottingham before coming to
Queen Mary.
Research Interests
include Operator Theory, in particular Spectral
Theory
and Approximation Theory, as well as its applications to Ergodic
Theory and Statistical Physics.
