The triple product property in finite groups

Πeter M. Neumann (Oxford), 18th November 2010

Abstract

The triple product property for subsets of a finite group was invented by Henry Cohn and Christopher Umans in 2003 as a tool for studying the computational complexity of matrix multiplication. I propose to explain briefly this background, but then to focus on the combinatorics of TPP triples.
